Lightweight, secure & sturdy
The bag is very well detailed and made and has lots of useful pockets. While it is pricey for a small backpack, it delivers remarkable value for money. It is for the season I recommend this bag.
(I would suggest to the bag's designer/maker that it could do with having the ability to have the sides of the bag cinched so that it can be worn with a flatter profile against one's back).
After owning a larger older model for 10+ years, I purchased this in a ~tan color. The older backpack is serving another family, well.
I purchased this model because we pack more efficiently and I wanted a higher visibility color. After years of basic black luggage and my backpack, we recognize that visibility helps when leaving darker hotel rooms near dawn.
The metro safe is improved with easy to use zipper theft deterrents. I like the hidden compartment that is concealed to would be pickpockets located just behind my back- impossible to see when it is worn. . Tons of room, nice computer sleeve, and zippered internal storage including a key ring holder. I like the ability to use a TSA lock on the large compartment. The strap locking mechanism is slick!
I look forward to putting another .5 Million flying/vacation miles on this new Metro Safe. We own several well performing PacSafe items.
This bag is really great, spacious, with a lot of pockets and of course the anti-thieves security for my peace of mind.
I didn't use it yet but I'm looking forward too!
