I was so thrilled with the quality and design of the EXP 35. I locked various parts of the pack during travel and locked important documents and cash in one pocket while also locking the pack to furniture in my room. May not have been necessary on this trip but I felt much better knowing my things were as secure as possible while I was out and about. I had to really stuff my things and purchased items into the bag and could not believe how I just kept having more room! This bag really accommodates a lot of items and just kept expanding. I bought two more coffee mug souvenirs after thinking I would have no more room, but I did! I was a victim of being pick pocketed on a train in Paris, I hadn't noticed but felt like a group of young men were eying my pack, so I moved elsewhere on the train only to discover I had been pick pocketed - the lesson: use the lockable strap on the train even when you think nothing may happen. I'm pretty sure they were planning to grab my bag and run off at the next stop. There were 5 of them and they could have easily overpowered me and taken it. I was horrified at myself for not locking the bag, such a simple step that will prevent anyone from being able to overwhelm you and run off with your bag. After being a victim of theft I will resolve to use the locking strap whenever on public transportation now - you just never know and even if you suspect a problem, you may be helpless to thwart criminals. There are at least 5 ways to lock things up in the bag. It is exactly the right size to get into an airplane with all that is needed for a couple of days and I could fit 2 personal computers, one in the back pocket and one inside the bag. I also like that there is hook holes where you can add carabineers to fast hook your backpack to your car seatbelt or under a table for fast lock.
