I'll give the bag itself 5 stars - I like its operation, organization, and it feels secure (thankfully not tested on this trip). I bought prior to a trip thinking it was the right size as a single everyday pack. However, after a couple days I realized that I hadn't thought carefully about my needs. Only a couple things actually need to be both secure and readily accessible -- think phone, a credit card or two, hotel key, maybe passport. Everything else for day to day use - umbrella, water bottle, power bank, first aid kit, hat, kids stuff, pen, hand sanitizer, etc etc, -- doesn't really need to be secure, and it gets annoying to keep opening your "secure storage" every time you need a napkin (and the bag was a little small for some days). So, to summarize, I have no complaints about the bag itself. However, think carefully about how you plan to use it and what you want to keep in it before deciding if its the right thing, or if a smaller or larger bag might be more suitable.
I would offer one suggestion though for this bag -- having a smaller externally accessible pocket for just a phone plus one or two cards would be useful. Especially when navigating transit in an…
